Luis Perez, President and CEO
Luis co-founded Teracore in 2002 along with his partner Steve Hangartner. Although he began his career in technology, he is an entrepreneur at heart. Luis is an industry expert on managing large-scale, complex enterprise-level business and IT initiatives. He has used this philosophy successfully for more than 20 years in business and technology consulting in building organizations and a thriving business. Luis served 8 years as a Command and Control Systems officer in the US Air Force prior to his civilian career. An active community leader, Luis resides in Satellite Beach, Florida with his wife Paula and their two children. He currently holds a BS degree from the University of Maryland and an MBA in International Business from Boston University.
Steve Hangartner, Chief Administrative Officer
Steve is a co-founder and Managing Partner of Teracore. He has more than 20 years of experience in the Management and delivery of business performance improvement engagements focused on operations, IT delivery, and planning/governance-based business processes. Steve has driven numerous performance improvement campaigns covering a variety of approaches including business process engineering, continuous improvement, Total Quality Management (TQM) and enterprise-wide process redesign and standardization. He has worked extensively within the Federal Government Sector. His experience spans the Technology, Financial Services and Telecommunications industries. Steve resides in Johns Creek, Georgia with his wife Eileen and their two children where he is an active participant in his community. Steve holds a BS degree in Aerospace and Ocean Engineering from Virginia Tech.
Brian Kendrick, Senior Vice President
Brian has more than 25 years of management experience in the public and private sectors in CONUS and OCONUS environments for both small business and Fortune 50 Companies. He understands business requirements from the customer and the consultant perspective. He has led Teracore’s growth strategy and overseen its Washington D.C. efforts since 2005. Prior to joining Teracore, Brian built the DHS and USDA consulting practices at Kadix Systems (now DRC) while growing the firm from 5 to 120 employees. He also led the launch of a US Navy PMO to drive a $45M, multi-year business process/systems reengineering effort to improve services to over 182,000 employees while reducing headcount by 30%. With Worldport in Dublin, Ireland, Brian led the evaluation and subsequent acquisition and integration of several European services companies into one entity. Brian held positions with increasing responsibility in consulting, business development, marketing, and corporate strategic planning at a boutique consulting firm and Bell Atlantic (now Verizon). Brian’s broad background in building and managing public and private sector consulting services firms combined with his Fortune 50 planning and marketing experience is valuable to achieving Teracore’s growth goals. Brian holds a BS from Virginia Tech. He received his MBA from George Mason University where he was recognized by the faculty as an Outstanding Graduate for his leadership.
